RSE

All schools are required to teach Relationships and Sex Education (RSE). At Lift Aylward we welcome these changes and invite parents and carers to contribute their views through constructive dialogue in order to support the progress of pupils through a full and rich curriculum offer.

Support & Guidance

To support your understanding of the changes we have included a number of documents for your reference:

  1. Department for Education Guidance
  2. Aylward Academy Relationships and Health Education Policy
  3. RSE/PSHE Overview
  4. RSE Guide for Parents which covers frequently asked questions around this area
  5. Aylward Academy Consultation Process Survey

In addition to the above, we have also included examples of material we have delivered this year under the Health aspect of RSE (Year 7 puberty and Y10 reproduction).

Finally, we have included a short survey (below) to collate your views and provide an opportunity for parents/carers to meet with school leads to answer any questions. Our RSE meeting will take place on Wednesday 15th July at 2pm. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and look forward to meeting you on the 15th.
